Las Vegas - Thousands of healthcare leaders are arriving in Sin City for HIMSS 2026.

The HIMSS 2026 Global Health Conference & Exhibition Center runs Monday through Thursday here in Las Vegas. More than 25,000 health leaders registered for the conference.

Chief Healthcare Executive® is here in Vegas and will be reporting throughout the week. Hal Wolf, president and CEO of HIMSS, told Chief Healthcare Executive® last week that he’s looking forward to more nuanced discussions about AI in health care. The conversations are moving from the theoretical to the practical.

“There has been globally, a lot of investment and a lot of acceleration and innovation,” Wolf says.

There are going to be plenty of discussions about AI, and other big issues in digital health, including using technology to improve access, telehealth, and cybersecurity.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, is slated to participate in a keynote address Thursday.

Check out our 90-second preview for a quick primer on the big event, and look for our coverage all week.
