Sutter Health appointed CEOs of two of the system's hospitals and other leaders take new roles.
Patrick Caster has been named president and chief executive officer of two Dignity Health hospitals in Ventura County, California.
Caster has been named as the top leader at Dignity Health - St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital Camarillo.
Caster comes to the hospitals after serving as president and CEO of Dignity Health - French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, California. Previously, he held the title of chief operating officer of Dignity Health-California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He said he’s honored to lead the two hospitals.
“I look forward to continuing the meaningful work which has positively impacted the communities for decades,” Caster said in a statement. “Ensuring the communities continue to have access to world class healthcare by building upon the significant achievements of the St. John’s Hospitals will be a top priority.”
Julie J. Sprengel, president of CommonSpirit Health’s California region, praised Caster’s “exceptional leadership skills for the benefit of our hospitals and market.”

Dignity Health Northridge Hospital announces new CEO
Jeremy Zoch has been named the new hospital president and CEO for Dignity Health-Northridge Hospital Medical Center.
Zoch starts in his new role on August 19, and it represents a return to Dignity Health. He previously served as the chief operating officer for Mercy Hospital Bakersfield and Mercy Southwest Hospitals from 2007 to 2012.
He has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Providence St. Joseph Hospital, a 463-bed facility in Orange County. He helped raise over $140 million for the hospital, the system said.
Zoch also worked for the University of Maryland Medicine & Medical System in Baltimore and the Johns Hopkins Health System. He also served on the board of directors for the Hospital Association of Southern California through 2023.
Jill Welton, market president of Dignity Health Southern California, touted his credentials.
"Jeremy's extensive experience in healthcare leadership and his proven track record makes him an excellent fit for our organization. We are confident that his vision and expertise will drive continued excellence and innovation in patient care for years to come,” Welton said in a statement.
Sutter Health names top executives for two hospitals
Sutter Health has appointed chief executive officers for two of the system’s hospitals.
The northern California health system named Trevor D. Brand as CEO of Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch, Calif. Brand succeeds Sherie Hickman, who retired earlier this year.
Brand takes his new role after serving as chief operating officer of City of Hope Atlanta, where he managed operations across six states.
Tosan Boyo, president of Sutter Health’s Greater East Bay Market, said Brand will focus on strengthening community partnerships.
“Trevor Brand is an experienced and dynamic healthcare leader with a proven track record of excellence in hospital operations,” Boyo said in a statement. “I am thrilled to welcome him to Sutter Health to lead Sutter Delta Medical Center.”
Brand will begin his new role as Aug. 26.
Sutter Health also announced the appointment of Bradley R. Goodson as CEO of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland.
Most recently, Goodson served as the CEO for Ochsner Medical Center-New Orleans, a 767-bed facility with a $2.4 billion budget.
Boyo said he’s excited to bring Goodson to the post.
“He is a proven leader with a longstanding commitment to driving quality and patient safety, decreasing employee turnover and improving physician development,” Boyo said. “With Brad at the helm, Sutter’s Alta Bates Summit Medical Center will be well-positioned to expand and improve upon its nearly 120-year legacy of providing equitable, high-quality patient-centered care to the East Bay community.”
Goodson is slated to begin his new role on Sept. 30.
Baptist Health of Arkansas names leader of five hospitals
Jay Quebedeaux has been named president of regional hospitals for Baptist Health in Arkansas.
Quebedeaux will lead the system's five regional facilities in Arkadelphia, Heber Springs, Malvern, Monticello and Stuttgart. All of Baptist Health regional hospital presidents will report to Quebedeaux. He will continue to serve as the president for Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County and Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia.
Before joining Baptist Health in 2022, Quebedeaux was CEO of the Mena Regional Health System for seven years. He was also the CEO and COO at Sabine Medical Center in Many, Louisiana, and the CEO of North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville. Quebedeaux has held leadership roles in Texas and Colorado.
He is also a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
